From 30 June to 2 July 2025, the Research on Research Institute (RoRI) and the Center for Open Science (COS) welcomed over 800 researchers, funders, policymakers, and innovators from 65 countries to explore the future of science and research systems.

Metascience 2025 marked one of RoRI’s biggest milestones to date and the largest gathering of the global metascience community. Attendees came from across research, funding, publishing, policy, technology, and related sectors to share evidence, exchange ideas, and reflect on how research systems can be improved.

Metascience 2025 showcased the power of collaboration across the metascience community, leaving a lasting legacy of knowledge, connections, and inspiration for the future of research.
